The mainstream media have finally caught up with the crack research team here at Max's Mewsings. This afternoon, a number of radio stations and newspapers picked up a story from the Canadian Press' Broadcast News division noting, as I did on March 2nd, that choosechange.ca, the web domain the Ontario Liberals used during the 2003 general election, now directs surfers to online gambling.

The media reported this revelation on the same day the McGuinty Liberals announced their intention to set up "information centres" in two Ontario casinos to help people addicted to gambling. The opposition parties attacked the plan as nothing more than a public relations exercise and have called on the government to remove cash machines for the province's casinos.

The broader reporting of the Liberal's domain being used to promote online gambling has finally forced a response (granted, a very weak response) from the Liberals. They say choosechange.ca "was a campaign site and that the party no longer owns or operates the domain."
