Chuck Guité has been testifying about AdScam today. What have we learned?
He believes he has done nothing wrong. He has made wild accusations about other witnesses and has attacked the integrity of the Auditor-General. He says the government got value for the money it spent on sponsoships in Québec. In short, he is the victim of a great conspiracy to pin him with the responsibility the AdScam debacle.
Will we actually get more useful information from him when he returns to the Committee to testify this afternoon? I doubt it. He's just trying to protect himself and prepare his case for the Public Inquiry where he'll face some really tough questions.
