Hockey talks end: "No progress"
The National Hockey League and its players' union met for 6-1/2 hours today but made no progress according to a statement on the league's website.
According to the statement, the talks were "cordial and informative" but that no new proposals were made by either side. The statement also says the talks revealed that there continues to be significant differences between to two sides.
