A place to debate the language

Perhaps you are an English teacher concerned by the incredibly poor use of the language displayed by your students and the increasing creep of slang into serious writing. Maybe you think the gatekeepers of the language (the dictionary publishers) have been too slow to adopt the new lexicon of the Internet.

Whatever your bugaboo, the fine people at Collins are giving you a chance to sound off on what words should appear in their dictionary. Collins Word Exchage allows users to submit new words, comment on words under consideration, and debate words in their Forum.

They also have a handy texting dictionary. (Yes 'text' is now a verb!)
