Woman takes over stranger's home

This is too weird...

A Georgia woman returned from a two-and-a-half week holiday to find her home occupied by another woman and a dog. The intruder, whom the owner did not know, had redecorated (she ripped out the carpet and replaced the owner's photos with her own), bought a new washer and dryer, was changing the utilities into her name and was even wearing some of the owner's clothes.

The owner called police when she arrived home to see lights on and a strange car in her laneway. The intruder initially told police she was renting the home before admitting she broke in. The cops also found $23,000 worth of the owner's jewelry in the intruder's car.

The police don't know how the intruder knew the owner was away.
