A lot of ink for a non-event
There are, of course, oodles of media reports this morning on last night's Presidential Debate. CNN.com even has has a list of "Key Points" in the debate.
But reading these alleged important exchanges it is clear that nothing new was revealed last night about where George W. Bush and John Kerry stand on anything.
Mr. Kerry is still trying to sit on the fence on all of the important issues, Mr. Bush still feels he was right to go into Iraq and Americans are wondering how it is that these two men are the best their parties could nominate for the post.
The format of the debate did effectively eliminated any opportunity for excitement and perhaps the candidates were holding some of their material back - there are two more debates to come. Still, I was hoping for more.
Perhaps the next debate will be more interesting. A cat can always hope...
