McGuinty's Redemption Tour a Flop
In the wake of his government's disastrous budget which reinforced his image as a promise-breaker, Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty took to barbeque circuit to try to rehabilitate his image. It appears the Redemption Tour™ didn't work.
In a poll for CFTO-TV, the Globe and Mail and CFRB Radio, Ipsos-Reid found the Premier's party is behind the leaderless Conservatives, a majority of Ontarians say the province is on the wrong track, and, perhaps most troubling for Mr. McGuinty, his job approval rating is just 29 per cent .
To put that last number in perspective, 29 per cent is also the number of Canadians who "Like and Respect" George W. Bush.
Not much more to say, is there?
