WHO do they think they are?

A World Health Organization spokesperson says that China's new bout of SARS is a wake-up call for Toronto health officials. (Toronto Sun)
I beg your pardon? Last time I checked:

  • China was in the midst of its third SARS outbreak. Toronto has had one.
  • Two of China's outbreaks have been the result of mislabeling and mishandling of SARS samples in laboratory settings. That hasn't happened in Toronto.
  • China's choice to hide the truth about an outbreak in their country last year led to the worldwide export of the disease.

Just who do you think the WHO should be lecturing?
