April Squirrels?

Could this be The Star's April fools day joke? According to The Star, joggers running too quickly disturb the mating of Black Squirrels. So cops across the GTA are setting up speed traps to catch joggers running faster than 10km/h. Though this is likely a joke, I wouldn't put it past some of the more radical environmentalist to propose something like this. That this story is the least bit credible is the scary part! Just in case this is actually going on, I think I should be "on the record" as supporting measures to keep a stable squirrel population - they make tasty treats!
