A red letter day

It is a red letter day. I agree with Dalton McGuinty on something.

Yesterday, the Ontario Premier (and notorious promise-breaker) expressed his support for the Ottawa Senators in their first round playoff series with the Toronto Maple Leafs. As a fellow Senators' fan, I applaud McGuinty for finally taking a firm stand on something. I also congratulate him for the rare courage he showed by announcing his support for the Sens in front of a Toronto business crowd.

Maybe this 'Sens'-sible pronouncement signals a return to common 'Sens' government at Queen's Park? Probably not, that is as much a fantasy as the Leafs winning the Stanley Cup.
